On May 20 , Women’s Rights Center (WRC) has organized a meeting on “Domestic violence prevention in Armenia”, which was held in the conference hall of The National Library in Yerevan, Armenia.

WRC staff presented the current situation of domestic violence issue in Armenia, its types, main reasons and the ways of combating it, as well as WRC activities implemented on its prevention.

Then there were also discussed the development of the Draft Law on Domestic Violence, its advocacy and lobbying. Thereafter, it was shown the film “Zone of silence” by Mariam Ohanyan, supported by “Liza” foundation, which was about the current situation of domestic violence told by a girl.
