On December 06, 2011, at 19:00 at the National Center of Chamber Music the presentation of the film “For Survival” was held.The film was not full of scenes of violence,but it was more educational and informative, as an immense part of the society does not fully understand the concept of “domestic violence” and its forms of expression.
The film was made by “Rivista” advertising company with the consultancy and financial support of Women's Rights Center.
The representatives from various international and local organizations, foundations, embassies, ministries and Media, as well as other invitees have participated in the presentation.
We would like to mention the Cultural affairs officer of The US Embassy - Sean O’Hara, who expressed his gratefulness to Women’s Rights Center for organizing this event and commemorated the White Ribbon Day once again.
The film presentation lasted 25 minutes, which was followed by an active discussion between the guests and WRC staff. In particular, the participants were highly concerned whether this film would be shown to the public in future and even recommended to show the film in the regions as well. They asked questions about Center as well. Questions were mostly about the services of WRC and the possible prevention measures of domestic violence issue.
Thus, we consider the film presentation succeeded, and we are looking forward to similar meetings in future.
