Protest in front of the Prosecutor's Office (12.12.2011)

Today, on December 12, the Coalition to Stop Violence against Women has organized a protest in front of the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia concerning the case of 20 years old Mariam Gevorgyan, who was subjected to malign tortures by her husband and father-in-law.
Women's Rights Center as a member of the coalition has also participated in the protest. Banners were prepared by the coalition that called on all the officials who are involved in the investigation of this case to pursue an unbiased investigation of the case. The Prosecutor's Office on behalf of the coalition was handed a letter. The coalition gave the same letter to the Presidential residence.
