WRC elaborated a Training Manual on Domestic Violence for police servants, which observes the current situation of domestic violence issue in Armenia, its types, main consequences, ways of combating and preventing it. This manual is a tool for advocating and for raising awareness on domestic violence against women.

It trains relevant skills on the enforcement of Domestic Violence Law.The manual has been viewed and commented by specialists from RA Police Training Center and was forwarded to RA Police Academy for revision.

The comments and suggestions on the manual of “Domestic Violence” were discussed by WRC lawyers and included in the draft manual as appropriate.

And due to the Government decision N 354.2 the published manual should be disseminated to RA Police Academy and RA Police Training Center in order to be included in the curriculum of proper institutions.

 The problem of sexual and gender-based violence is a wide-spread phenomenon during conflict situations. The UNHCR/Armenia contracted the Turpanjian Center for Policy Analysis at the American University of Armenia to conduct a survey in order to identify sexual and gender-based violence among female refugees and asylum seekers, as well as to understand its forms and prevalence during displacement and after in Armenia.
