The Center republished this book which presents the true stories of women victims of domestic violence from different regions of Armenia. Based on the facts a certain insight on domestic violence against women in Armenia can be gained.

This book presents true stories of women subjected to domestic violence, which succeed in the end. These women have overcome the difficulties with the great support of the Women’s Rights Center’s specialists. Such stories are various and numerous, however, we tried to choose especially the most common and typical ones on violence.

In these stories the secret and hidden phenomenon which, as a rule, is not usually talked about openly is shown. Although the stories are anonymous, one should never forget that the author of one of these stories might occur to be his or her mother, sister or daughter. We have tried to keep the narrative style of the book.
